Close to nature
Facing south towards the sea and in close proximity to nature, this is a beautiful gem in the northern Norwegian landscape. In the summer, Harstad Camping becomes home to green lawns, flowers and a sea whose colour can only be rivalled by the sky. Due to our location, this is both a quiet and sunny place. Here you can enjoy peace and tranquility. There are also great opportunities for the adventurous, such as kayaking, diving, and more.
Opportunities for all
If you want to explore the city’s shopping, Amfi Kanebogen is within walking distance and has over 60 different shops. In addition, both Sjøkanten center and Salto center are a short drive away in the town centre.
For the youngest, there are lots of exciting activities. Grottebadet is Northern Norway’s most unique water park, located inside a grotto. Alongside the pool, there are slides and a wave pool – plenty for both small and big fish. Afterwards, you can take a trip to Sam’s Lekeland in the jungle and greet Sam the lemur. FunParks offers many exciting games – you can even try a gyrocopter!
For those who want to experience the great outdoors, we recommend a hike up Gangsåstoppen. This is a nice and short hike that is suitable for most people! The hiking trail is within walking distance of the campsite, and at the top you’ll find a great panoramic view of Harstad city, the mountains on Grytøya, and the islands around the surrounding archipelago. We also recommend hiking during the midnight sun, along the coastal path, through Folkeparken, or a trip up to Hinnstein for those more comfortable on the mountain.
